After a slow start in January and through February 2009, Real Estate activity in the greater Victoria area began to pick up and continued month after month, each time exceeding previous month's activity.  This phenomenon included the usually slower months of July, August, September and December.  By year end 2009, inventory has dropped significantly due to very healthy sales through the last 10 months of 2009.
